THE EXPERIENCE
You want portraits of your family, but what are you going to do with them? Just like any commissioned paintings, we need to talk about your vision ahead of time. We plan for where and how these images will be displayed, which will guide us for the photo session, with the end result in mind.
THE PRE-CONSULTATION
The portrait experience begins with the pre-consultation (in studio, over the phone or in home). During this time we talk about wall space if wanting wall portraits. Do you have a tall and narrow spot above your fireplace? We will create an amazing heirloom portrait to hang there. Perhaps you want to start a gallery wall that incorporates older images with new one. We can make that happen. We will help guide you during this one-on-one pre-session consultation, so that you can feel confident ahead of time of how the end result will be from your session.
THE PORTRAIT SESSION
Sometimes, portrait sessions can be somewhat stressful for parents. You begin to worry about clothing for the family...kids aren't cooperating the way you would like them to....and sometimes is hard to convince Dad to agree to be a part of the session. WE ARE HERE TO HELP! At our studio, we help take all of that worry away.
Before your session we will help style your family's wardrobe. Together we will help you choose clothing that you feel confident in, while coordinating the rest of your family as well.
A session with our studio is anything but stressful. As a mother of young children, as well as over 10 years of experience photographing children, we can pretty much handle anything kids throw at us. We want the kids to be themselves, and in a relaxed environment, we will capture their personality, since that is the most precious memories we want to preserve.
Sessions take place in our commercial studio in Thibodaux, about 35 miles southwest of New Orleans. We work with controlled lighting and a collection of carefully selected props and set designs. With various sets and backdrops available, we are sure to create a portrait that is perfect for your family.
VIEWING AND ORDERING
Approximately one to two weeks after your photo shoot, you will come to the studio for your View and Order appointment. Your images are projected onto our 108″ projection screen and we take the time to design the right art piece for your home. Your View and Order appointment is the time set aside to finalize your portrait order, so be sure and schedule a time when both mom and dad (or the decision maker) can be there. Together, we will you sort through the images and make final decisions on what will look best with your decor. With our state of the art software, we can show you what your portrait will look like on your wall, so you can choose the RIGHT size for the space. All of our luxury products are made with the highest quality, and are made with archival quality to last for generations.
DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION
Approximately three weeks later, your art piece(s) will be ready for pick up. We’ll call or email you to let you know it’s here and make arrangements for you to take home your new prized-possessions. If your art piece is too large for your vehicle, or if you have multiple portraits that you need assistance with, we can help with delivery. And if you need help with installation, we can make arrangements for that. Once those portraits are hanging, you can sit back and enjoy them EVERY DAY.
YOUR LONG TERM PLAN
We are thrilled that your portraits are hung on your walls with care, but we know that those kids will keep growing and changing, so what about next year, and the year after that? Most of our families come back year after year, and we will help design your walls around your existing artwork. We will create art that coordinates sessions from the past so that you can build a gallery in your home that will look amazing in the future.
